Many people come to the Catholic Church either as non-Catholic members of a Catholic family or as baptized Catholics who have been away from the Church for a number of years. Some also come because they are baptized in other churches and want to find out about Catholic Christianity. Then there are the seekers who are not baptized at all, but they feel a heart-tug, a soul-tug to find out what “church” is all about. We know! It’s about Jesus, and we would like to share Him with you. All questions are welcomed. There is no pressure! We would love for you to join our parish family.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which individuals, age 7 and older, prepare to enter the Catholic Church and receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
The RCIA Rite speaks of conversion, a “spiritual journey,” that is centered on fostering a deep, personal encounter and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church He founded.
This journey takes place through distinct stages over time and is a journey that will take as long as it takes.
