The Process
This time of planning for renewal of the place where we gather to celebrate the sacred mysteries will be a time of listening and learning, sharing and growing. It will be a time of prayer, and openness to express and hear ideas. For each of us as individuals, and for the Parish, it can be a time of spiritual growth and witnessing to the Holy Spirit. It can also be a time to tell our story and pass on our Catholic tradition of faith and worship to our children, their children and newcomers. This will be a time of trust in the Holy Spirit, in each other, and in our Parish committee, our liturgical consultant, architects, and others who will help us make our project a reality. These meetings will provide us with the background we will need to make good decisions. Each meeting is planned to help our Parish articulate, develop and refine our vison for our future Liturgical and Worship Spaces and a master plan for our campus. This vision will become the foundation for the design of our new Sacred Spaces as well as to formulate plans for expansion of our school and meeting rooms. Our meetings will be facilitated by our Liturgical Consultant, Ken Griesemer, a founding member and past President of the Association of Consultants for Liturgical Space.
Why Renovation and Renewal
The renewal of Church Building is an opportunity to build up not only the Church of brick and mortar, but also the Church of flesh and bone - the Body of Christ. When we shape our place of worship, it will shape us and teach us about how to be a community of faith gathered together in common prayer to the Father. Because of the importance of this event in the life of the Parish, it is vital that we tap into the collective wisdom and gifts of our community. Your participation and input will be critical to our Parish success.
