May God bless you as you begin the process to form your children for a lifetime of celebrating God's forgiveness and being nourished at the table of the Lord. This time marks a significant moment in your child's spiritual development, and presents unique opportunities for both you and your child to grow in faith together, to deepen your relationship with God and with one another.
Our sacramental preparation blends intergenerational and whole community catechesis (religious education). The process includes the family sessions (parents/grandparents or guardians), and the whole parish during rites for the children and the celebration of the sacraments during regular parish liturgies.
Sacramental Formation usually begins in the First Grade to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Communion in the Second Grade. Regardless of the grade your child / teen begins this Sacramental Formation, the diocese asks for two years of faith formation in order to celebrate First Eucharist as a child / teen.
