Family Promise

Holy Family is one of the Irving congregations that make up Family Promise of Irving. Family Promise is a national faith-based non-profit ministry that supports families who are experiencing homelessness as they search for new jobs, undergo job training, and obtain permanent housing. Family Promise began in New York City in 1986. 80% of the families who complete the program have secured permanent housing.

Our mission is to provide a safe environment in which families can stay together and gain the assistance they need to become self sufficient.

For one week every three months, Holy Family hosts several homeless families (no more than 14 people). Volunteers are always needed in a number of areas, including food preparation and serving, evening hosts, overnight hosts, van drivers and setup/clean up. If you are interested in helping us meet a critical need in our community, please contact one of the co-leaders listed below.

HFN is hosting the week of February 2, 2014, please contact one of the volunteer coordinators below if you can be of service.  All types of help needed. Become one of our volunteers.
