The Sacrament of Matrimony

Congratulations, you're getting married!  You may need to know what to do next.  Please call the parish office and make an appointment with a priest at least six months prior to your desired wedding date.

As you and your fiancé prepare for marriage, Holy Family of Nazareth is committed to helping you as a couple build a firm foundation for your future marriage.  In order to provide this firm foundation marriage preparation is required by the Church before celebrating the Sacrament of Marriage. We encourage you to register for marriage preparation as soon as possible.

Unitas - Preparing for Sacramental Marriage is a process that focuses on skills for married life and faith formation as an essential ingredient for the journey of Christian marriage. The goal is to help couples develop an understanding of areas such as communication, family of origin, conscience development, intimacy building, and family formation.
Unitas-at-Church is held in a group setting for eight sessions at Holy Family, with three Rites celebrated during liturgy on Sundays. Mentor couples attend the sessions with the engaged providing real life experience and facilitating discussions on subjects key to life-long marriage. Offered two times a year at HFN, generally starting in September and January.  Please see the calendar for exact start dates or call the parish office.   The registration form with more information is available on the left column.
Unitas-at-Home is a couple-to-couple ministry in the home of the sponsor couple. The sponsor couple mentors the engaged facilitating discussions and providing real life experience on subjects key to life-long marriage. Offered on an as needed basis.
